--
I have to leave you now
That is'nt what was planned;
But I can't stay now that I know
Exactly where I stand.

If I am not your number one
Then nothing else will do;
I need to get a long way away
To get as far away from you.
Maggiemay

--

Goodbye for now until I see
You coming off that boat;
When you decide to follow me
And into my arms do float.

It's not that faraway it's really not
Come and stay for a holiday and see;
Your eyes will open wide I'm sure
At the views, the beauty and at me.
Maggiemay

Farewell, My Friends.
My friends to you I bid goodbye
To the friendship that brought me sky;
The year has been swell
As if coming from a wishing well.
But as all things do
I have to bid adieu;
How it pains me to
But there's nothing I can do.
Thank you for the memories
The laughter and the tears;
They'll linger in my heart
As if we never part.
If by chance we meet again
May it be full of blessings in the rain;
Yet for now all that I can say
Is to God for you I'll pray.
Mild G. Calingo

Goodbye Poems

--

Farewell to a fond neighbour
You have been very good to me;
You turned into a friend
And now I'm leaving thee.

I didn't want to go you know
My heart was torn in two;
I didn't care about the landlord
All I cared about was you.
Maggiemay

--

This goodbye will be a long one
As the doctor tells us so;
But I am finding it hard to say
I don't want you to go.

We say silly things at sad times like these
'Cos you don't want to go anywhere either;
You've agreed though that you're tired
You can't fight it anymore neither.

I will always love you and keep you in my heart
No matter what, no matter where;
I will always feel you close to me
As I can see you in there.
Maggiemay

--

We've been together a while now but

I'm leaving you and I've got to go;

There's something missing and

I can't stay and let you hurt me so.

The pain has grown instead of love

Where did our laughter go?

All sense of direction went and left us

The world has won don't you know!

**

Resentment resides in my head and my heart

The words I need -oh -where do I start;

I have to go and find myself again

The only way is for us to be apart.

Courage is the power to let go of the familiar.
 Raymond Lindquist

**

Got to go
Cannot stay;
Sorry for that
Another day?

**

This is not a shower
A deluge has begun;
I can't stand the rain
So I'm on the run.

**

If I could pick a flower
It wouldn't have been you;
I'm sorry that I have to say
Sorrier that it's true!

**

You know that this was coming
You could have sent this note;
As always left to me
And this is what I've wrote.
The End!
Maggie-May

**

Got to go
Got to go now;
Sanity escapes me here
I'm running anyhow!

**
Short Leaving Goodbye Poems
**

Goodbye my love
I'm leaving you;
Today's not the time
To say "I do"

**

I can't think of what to say
I only know what I must do;
That getting away from here
Will take away my blues.

**

There is no nice leaving note
Not at the time anyway;
So maybe you will thank me
In the future another day.
Bye!

Goodbye Poems

There is no easy way
To say these words to you;
So please forgive me
But we're through.

**

Goodbye it seems that it must be

I suppose everything will be alright;

Times were fun it's such a shame as

Off you go then into the night.

**

Happy trails to you, until we meet again.
Some trails are happy ones,
Others are blue.
It's the way you ride the trail that counts,
Here's a happy one for you.
 Dale Evans

**

May you have the hindsight to know where you've been, The foresight to know where you are going, And the insight to know when you have gone too far

Goodbye Poems

Man's feelings are always purest and most glowing in the hour of meeting and of farewell.

Jean Paul Richter

**

Old friends pass away, new friends appear. It is just like the days. An old day passes, a new day arrives. The important thing is to make it meaningful: a meaningful friend - or a meaningful day.
Dalai Lama

**

To be your friend has been a pleasure

And I hope it will always stay;

That no matter where your life takes you

I will be with you forever and a day.

In the memory within your heart

That only life can write upon;

Keep safe, and keep well

Maybe one day I will see you anon.

Maggiemay

**

I am sorry you are leaving

Your loss will be greatly felt,

but I won't over exaggerate

and say that my heart will melt.

It's really hard to say goodbye,

to such a friend and pal,

with tears in my eye and a lump in my throat,

Adios! Au Revoir! Farewell

I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next.
Gilda Radner

**

Our time was good a long time ago now

Oh what a ride, they say good things come to an end;

So sorry to leave you but leave you I must

If I stay here much longer I'll go round the bend.

**

I'm missing you already
and you've not gone yet;
Our laughs and our silly jokes
You'll miss me too I bet.
If I get the chance
I will visit you;
Its just a shame
You're going to Timbuktoo.
Maggiemay

**

There was a girl called Beverley

It doesn't matter if you fail;

She said you had to try;

At least you get to tell the tale.

So you're leaving us on friday

We all wish you the best of luck!

In fact we want to come with you

But I noticed out of that you ducked!

**

Farewell, as you sail the seas
You are so brave you know;
To travel the world by half
To New Zealand off you go.

Will I see you again? I know not
It's a long way for a visit;
If I get round to coming down
It will be for more than a minute.

Goodbye is not an Ending
Goodbye is not an ending
When you know that people care,
For miles may come between you,
But warm thoughts are always there
Goodbye is not an ending
But a different start for you,
A time for making brand–new friends
And seeing dreams come true
Goodbye is not an ending,
For you’ll find along life’s way
Within your heart you’ll always have
A part of yesterday.

Goodbye (Co Workers and) friends alike

I'm leaving you today

This message is for all of you

And I would like to say.

The biggest thank you to you all

For giving me this chance

To prove that I can be as good as you

And make this new advance.

Fully qualified who would have thought it

Certainly not you at first;

So a big Thank You once again

For giving me that thirst.

Finding something that I liked

Seemed like a miracle I'm sure;

But with training and your enthuse

I've passes with flying colors.

Maggie-May

**

Fare thee well my (co workers and) friends

You've been by my side throughout;

My induction and apprenticeship

But now I'm leaving you'll remember me no doubt!!

I'm sorry that I wasn't the best

Not to start with anyway;

But you soon knocked that out of me

I'm very glad to say.

So Thank You to all and sundry

Never found out who sundry was?

Maybe it'll be the name

When I get there of my new boss!

Maggie-May

**

I've been here so long now

I am part of the furniture;

This is going to feel strange

Maybe I'll feel healthier?

Stretching my boundaries

Is what they call it now;

A different view or so I'm told

I'm off there anyhow.

I will miss most of you

Some of course not at all;

My friends I will keep in touch

I will give you a call.

It’s not hard to find the words, there are lots that come to mind.

To show appreciation for someone being kind.

So for all the special things you do, the niceness that you share, a big thank you from the heart for all the ways you care

**

As a chapter closes in your life,
And a new one starts for you,
May your years be filled with all the things
You've been looking forward to!

**

May brooks and trees and singing hills
Join in the chorus too,
And every gentle wind that blows
Send happiness to you.
Irish Blessing

**

I don't want to leave you
But I really have to go;
These chances don't come twice
I'll pop in whilst going to and fro.

**

I really love this job
But I've had a better offer;
I can't thank you enough
But will miss you mother.

Time moves on
Waits for no one so they say!
So I have to grab it while I can
It may not come another day.
Maggie-May

You're off to University
You can't wait to go and start;
To make new friends but
I'll miss you whilst we're apart.

The doctor that you've dreamed of
Forever and a day;
Is now within your grasp at last
Specialising if you get your way.

So leave you must but visit soon
And tell us all your news;
You're past practising on me by now
If you snooze you lose.

Damn and curses you might say
But that will not last for long;
You know as well as I do
That it has all gone wrong.

Best to finish right this minute
And call it the end of the day;
It's no good hanging on
There's nothing left to say.

The feelings we had are? Don't know where!
The love left with those too;
So I'm really very sorry
But there's nothing I can do!
Maggie-May

**

Just as honey to the bee is sweet
Your love did sweep me off my feet;
I've now stood up and cannot see
Whatever did you see in me.

On Your Retirement

It is time for you to relax now
and to take life in your stride
no more need to rush around
time is on your side
I know you will enjoy your Retirement
with lots of things to do
interesting places to visit
there will always be something new
so enjoy yourself away from work
and think of it no more
look forward to your future
by stepping through new doors

Good Luck

I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think,
all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all
the friends I want to see.
John Burrough

Oh go on then ! I'm really jealous
To find that time for me;
It would be so exciting
I would need so much tea.

Whilst making plans for all those dreams
I've had for years and years;
Not sure I've got the energy now
And that will just bring tears.

So Good Luck!!!
