Bricks and mortar to the builder
Drawings to the planner;
But to you the most exciting thing
It's time to put up the banner.

WELCOME TO YOUR NEW HOME
Is what it's going to say!
We hope that happiness and wealth
Blesses you each and everyday.

Wherever you may move to
Please do keep in touch;
I am going to miss you
Very very much.

--

It will be a while to find everything;
New pots and pans and cooker too;
The excitement will all settle down
And then you won't feel so blue.

New neighbours you'll soon meet
Shopping will be a change;
Driving home to the right place
That's a laugh to rearrange.

I've done that too on automatic
Then suddenly where am I?
It will become a second sense
Home in the winking of an eye.

Get a webcam now that's a must
We'll be able to have a chat;
Although I took one look in mine
I thought God is that where I'm at.

It's no good for your wrinkles
But I need to see that you're okay;
I'm missing you already
And it's only been a day!

May you have warm words
on a cold evening,
A full moon on a dark night,
And the road downhill
all the way to your door.

--

 Our home is just a little house -- but God knows where we live.

I'm so glad he does as we haven't seen it yet!

We'll be over we promise you
And come to stay a while;
I can't believe you've gone so far
To the Emerald Isle.

We know it's been a dream of yours
To escape to fields and farms;
Thatch roofs and old stone walls
We'll raise a glass or two - alright twist my arm.

Champers it is and will be quite a night
A promise to be kept;
So safe journey to you my friends
As over Irish Sea you've stepped.

--

New layout in the kitchen
Where's the kettle now;
Hope you soon settle in
I'll be round for a coffee anyhow!

New Home Poems

All those bricks and mortar
or maybe logs and stone;
They will keep and protect you
and be your lovely new home.

The woods and parks are very near
So bikes and exploration time is here!
You will be happy of that we're all sure
And we will all be round for a beer!

Welcome to this little street
We hope it suits you well;
We care for all our neighbours
And all those within who dwell.

So coffee morning is at ten
There's a hall just down the road;
It's the quickest way of meeting all
And welcome to your new abode!

--

Little garden, little rooms
It is all rather sweet;
You must pop down the road
Your new neighbours to meet.

Schools to find and settle in
That's always quite good fun;
Making lots of new friends
Playing in the sun.

Your old friends will visit soon
They can't wait to see your house;
Longer visits mean a lot more fun
Sleepovers and more time to browse.

--

Within these walls their will be love
It is sent down from above;
Not from God you see
We're upstairs in apartment 3.

Happiness is a new home
A new adventure to begin
Rooms to fill and decorate
As you move your possessions in
With boxes neatly labelled
Beds, sofas, tables and chairs
Filling up the hall and lounge
And some to take upstairs
There's so much to look forward to
That journey now is done
Moving house can be so stressful
And seldom is much fun
So warmly congratulate yourself
You did it, paved the way
For new friends and neighbours
With whom to work and play
When you close your new front door
And shut out the world around
Survey your newly chosen home
That haven you have found
A wonderful new blank canvas
A palette for your lifestyle
Cherished memories for the future

I hope you like your new neighbours
Maybe not quite as much as me;
I'm going to miss you like hell
I'll have to visit and come and see.

Your new abode a different size
Not a mirror match of mine;
It will feel strange just for a while
More room to wine and dine.

Happiness I hope will follow you
Wherever you may go;
I'll let you settle in
Then visit for you to show!

A new home and new schools
New walkways and new shops;
The kids will be able to play
In the new park till they drop.

Unpacked boxes where to put
You won't be able find a thing;
But in your heart of hearts
All you want to do is sing.

The house you always wanted
Is now your brand new home;
The size of everything is grand
Plenty of room to roam.

So may we wish you all the best
That happiness and love;
Will fill your brand new house
And fit you like a glove.

 Lord, make the door of this house wide enough
to receive all who need love,
narrow enough to shut out all will breed hate;
make the threshold smooth enough
to be no stumbling block to children,
rugged enough to turn back evil. Lord,
make the door of this house
the gateway to your love.

**

Out there in pastures new
A new life to behold;
We hope you're very happy
Liking the new house better than the old.

Adventures are there for all of you
New jobs, new schools the lot;
May all your dreams come true
On your new dream plot!

New Home Poems

With four walls to surround you
A nice roof on the top;
The chimney stack all up the side
A place for you to flop.

Wide open spaces with
Very gorgeous views;
Inspiring your family life
Starting over and a new.

I wish you well my fairy friend
Spiritually you'll be sound;
Within those surroundings
Peace with very few around.

A house is bricks and wooden beams
A home is made of love and dreams

**

Wherever we may roam
There's no place like home;
That is where the heart is
Moving home you're full of biz.

Sorry that you're leaving
I don't like the back of you;
I've just got to know the front
And to the horizon you flew.

These first three are Irish blessings

May your home be bright with cheer,
May your cares all disappear,
May contentment come your way,
And may laughter fill your day.

**

Wishing you always—
Walls for the wind
And a roof for the rain
And tea beside the fire—
Laughter to cheer you
And those you love near you—
And all that your heart might desire!

**

May you have warm words
on a cold evening,
A full moon on a dark night,
And the road downhill
all the way to your door.

**

May the bricks and mortar offer you protection
May the tiles on the roof keep out the rain;
May your cupboards be full of food and clothes
And that you will never break this chain.

May your neighbours be quiet but kind
Offering help and support when in need
And that they love you all as much us
And that your garden they will weed.

Big Joke as you've gone to a yard
So a few pots just to pretty it up;
When's the housewarming party then? And we'll be round for your wine to sup!
Congratulations on your lovely New Home!

**

Congratuations!
To both of you in your New Home

"Home ain't a place that gold can buy or get up in a minute;
Afore it's home there's got t' be a heap o' living in it."
Edgar A Guest

Congratulations and
Enjoy a heap o' living in it

Home is key to happiness
Somewhere to call your own
Castle, house, caravan or tent
A place where you have grown.

Where family bonds and ties
Nurture your journey on this earth
Creating your unique identity
Giving you a sense of worth.

For some the open road is home
Life flourishing through change of place
Choosing where they lay their head
Travelling - at their own pace.

Home is key to happiness
Your heart will guide you well
For home is where the heart is
You’ve heard it often tell.
Pauline Oliver
