At Christmas we remember
A special baby boy
On this day in December
That brings us so much joy

***

Jesus is the reason for the season!
May the true meaning of Christmas
bring you lasting joy!

***

Every time a hand reaches out
To help another... that is Christmas.
Every time someone puts anger aside
And strives for understanding
That is Christmas.
Every time people forget their differences
And realize their love for each other
That is Christmas.
May this Christmas bring us
Closer to the spirit of human understanding
Closer to the blessing of peace!

***

We want to wish you all the best;
The best of this festive season,
But never forget why we celebrate;
Christ’s birthday is the reason!

And may the New Year bring the best;
And good health and happiness too,
All the best of good wishes go out;
On this holiday, from us, to you

Christmas Christian Verses Poems continue with this nice bunch

With every gift that you receive
take a moment to recall a shining star...
a manger...
and the greatest Gift of all.
May the glory of Christ's birth
live in your heart all year.

***

Let us adore Him
This Christmas,
We give thanks for God's love
in our lives and for the joy
we share through Christ.

Every day is Christmas
When you have the kind of mind,
That stores up all the goodness
And the sweetness it can find.

When you don't need an occasion,
To spread a bit of cheer,
But just keep on a-giving,
Of yourself throughout the year.

Every day is Christmas,
With a gaily wrapped surprise,
When you've learned to see the friendship,
In someone else's eyes.

When you try a little harder,
And complain a little less,
Holding fast to all the fervour
Of the faith that you possess.

Every day is Christmas,
When you've found that you can be
More concerned with words like "you"
And less with "I" and "me".

When it's fun to do a favour,
And to lend a helping a hand,
When being understood means less,
Than when you understand.

Every day is Christmas,
With a beauty deeply cast,
When you find it doesn't matter,
If you're first or if you're last.

When you can face your conscience,
And be glad of what you are,
Then every day is Christmas,
With a stable and a star.

Christmas Christian Verses, Poems

A little child,
A shining star.
A stable rude,
The door ajar.

Yet in that place,
So crude, forlorn,
The Hope of all
The world was born.

It Came Upon A Midnight Clear

It came upon a midnight clear,
That glorious song of old,
From angels bending near the earth
To touch their harps of gold:
"Peace on the earth, good will to men,
from heav'ns all-gracious King."
The world in solemn stillness Lay
To hear the angels sing.

Words By Edmund Sears (1810-1876)
Music by Richard S. Willis (1819-1900)

Winds thro' the olive trees
Softly did blow,
Round little Bethlehem
Long, long ago.

Sheep on the hillside lay
Whiter than snow;
Shepherds were watching them,
Long, long ago.

Then from the happy sky,
Angels bent low,
Singin their songs of joy,
Long, long ago.

For in a manger bed,
Cradled we know,
Christ came to Bethlehem,
Long, long ago.

Love came down at Christmas,
Love all lovely, Love Divine;
Love was born at Christmas,
Star and angels gave the sign.

You could stop there or add the rest

Worship we the Godhead,
Love Incarnate, Love Divine;
Worship we our Jesus,
But wherewith for sacred sign?

Love shall be our token,
Love be yours and love be mine,
Love to God and all men,
Love for plea and gift and sign

Christina Rossetti

Oh, God...
help us rightly to remember
the birth of Jesus, that
we may share in the songs
of the angels, the gladness
of the shepherds, and the
worship of the wise men.

May the Christmas morning
make us happy
to be your children.

Robert Louis Stevenson

Continuing in the theme here's the next ones in our Christmas Christian Verses Poems collection

One is for the manger
where Baby Jesus lay.
Two is for Mary and Joseph
on that Christmas Day.
Three is for the wise men
who brought three gifts of love.
Four is for the shepherds
and angel songs above.
Five is for the animals
who stood guard in the shed
Over Baby Jesus
in His manger bed.

***

There's more, much more to Christmas
Than candlelight and cheer
It's the spirit of sweet friendship
That brightens all the year.
It's thoughtfulness and kindness,
It's hope reborn again.
For peace, for understanding
And for goodwill to men!

The Joy Of Giving

Somehow not only for Christmas.
But all the long year through.
The joy that you give to others,
Is the joy that comes back to you.
And the more you spend in blessing
the poor, and lonely and sad.
The more of your heart is possessing,
Returns to make you glad.

John Greenlef Whittier

The Magic Of The Season

He Sprang in his Sleigh,
To his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew
like the down of a thistle;
But I heard him exclaim,
ere he drove out of sight
"Happy Christmas!"
to all, and to all a
"Good-Night!"

Clement C. Moore
(1779 - 1863)

The Wisemen

When the wise men saw
that the star had stopped,
they were overwhelmed with joy.
On entering the house
they saw a child with Mary his mother,
and they knelt down
and paid his homage.

Mathew 2:10-11

What Can I Give Him ?

What can I give Him?
Poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd,
I would bring a lamb.
If I were a Wise Man,
I would do my part.
Yet what can I give Him,
Give Him my heart.

Christina Rossetti

How many would follow the star tonight
If it shone past the Milky Way,
Leave comfortable homes and follow it still,
Over the hills and away.

How many would open their doors tonight
For a weary and shabby pair?
Make room at hearths for a Stranger-Child,
Though the Infant be wondrous fair?

How many would give of their goods tonight,
The best they possess and more,
For their faith in a star and an angel choir
And a King forevermore?

We censure the folk of a bygone time
For indifference to Mary's plight.
How many would do any better now?
Would you follow the star tonight?

***

May the fire of this log warm the cold.
May the hungry be fed.
May the weary find rest.
and may all enjoy Heaven's peace.

***

From the four corners of the earth
The wise men came to pray,
And I too pray that love and joy
And peace may come your way”

May the star that led the Eastern Kings,
To the humble manger bed
Shine out for you and guide you too,
Through all the years ahead

For someone who has passed on

Thinking of you at Christmastime
You're in my thoughts today
You've only gone to Heaven
To watch over us each day.
Today we'll spend together
just like we always do
I'm sending Christmas Wishes
with love
from me to you.

**

Christmas wishes tried and true
I'm sending now, just for you...
A little love, a little cheer,
And wishes for a great New Year!
Hope Santa brings you gifts galore
With more surprises still in store.
May all your Christmas dreams come true
And may God's blessings be yours too!

**

For God so loved the world,
He gave His only Son
May that spirit of giving
and love fill your heart
this Christmas!
Merry Christmas

This is the last batch of Christmas Christian Verses Poems

Long ago,
A glittering star led the way
to a Holy Child..
..and today it is said that snowflakes
are tiny pieces of that very star,
sent to lead our hearts anew
to Jesus,...The Light of the world.

**

During this season of peace and goodwill
It is with pleasure we pause
and express our best holiday wishes
and deepest appreciation
for your friendship

**

At this very special time of year
May troubles neglect you and yours;
That you may be safe and well fed
and the Angels with you indoors.

**

We have rainbow reminders in the sky
And snowflakes are kisses sent from above;
All of these and Jesus, God's own son too
Falling from heaven to show us God's Love.
May you have a wonderful Christmas!

**

Do you know what would have happened
If it had been Three Wise Women
Instead of Three Wise Men ?
They would have
arrived on time
Helped deliver the baby
Cleaned the stable
Made a casserole
Brought practical gifts
and there would be peace on earth

**

May the Lord bless you every single day
And make your Christmas special in every single way.

****

A special Christmas greeting
that's meant just for you.
And every wish that's in it
is very warm and true.
To wish you lots of happiness
and extra Christmas cheer
To last the days of Christmas and right on through the year!

****

You're sure to have a lot of fun
'cause Christmas always brings
Lots of nice surprises
and so many happy things

Have a great Christmas!

****

Christmas is for giving
And for showing that we care,
For honoring the Christ Child
With the loving gifts we share.

The wise men gave of riches;
The shepherds, faith and love.
Each gift, in its own measure,
Was smiled on from above.

Let every gift be treasured;
Not always size or price
Determines the extent of love
And willing sacrifice

Handsome gifts with festive trim
Bring smiles of sweet content,
But modest gifts of humble means
are ofttimes heaven sent.

Whether it be large or small,
Each gift will share in part
The message of true Christmas joy
If given from the heart!

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:16

Santa lives at the North Pole ...
JESUS is everywhere.

Santa rides in a sleigh ...
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.

Santa comes but once a year ...
JESUS is an ever present help.

Santa fills your stockings with goodies ...
JESUS supplies all your needs.

Santa comes down your chimney uninvited ...
JESUS stands at your door and knocks,
and then enters your heart when invited.

You have to wait in line to see Santa ...
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.

Santa lets you sit on his lap ...
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.

Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is
"Hi little boy or girl, what's your name?" ...
JESUS knew our name before we were born...
Not only does He know our name,
He knows our address too.
He knows our history and future and
He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.

Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly ...
JESUS has a heart full of love.

All Santa can offer is HO HO HO ...
JESUS offers health, help and hope.

Santa says "You better not cry" ...
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you."

Santa's little helpers make toys ...
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts,
repairs broken homes and builds mansions.

Santa may make you chuckle but ...
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.

While Santa puts gifts under your tree ...
JESUS became our gift and died on a tree....
The cross.
Put Christ Back In Christmas...
Jesus Is Still The Reason For The Season!

The Holy Night

We sate among the stalls at Bethlehem;
The dumb kine from their fodder turning them,
Softened their horned faces
To almost human gazes
Toward the newly Born:
The simple shepherds from the star-lit brooks
Brought visionary looks,
As yet in their astonied hearing rung
The strange sweet angel-tongue:
The magi of the East, in sandals worn,
Knelt reverent, sweeping round,
With long pale beards, their gifts upon the ground,
The incense, myrrh, and gold
These baby hands were impotent to hold:
So let all earthlies and celestials wait
Upon thy royal state.
Sleep, sleep, my kingly One!
Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Put Christ Back In Christmas...
Jesus Is Still The Reason For The Season!

**

Everything has been taken over
By this world of buy, buy, buy;
Advertisers of happiness
We receive and then only sigh.

That inner peace that we all crave
Cannot come from things alone;
Peace of mind comes from realising
That Jesus did our sins atone.

So welcome this babe in arms
Who took on human form;
Especially to save us
In his love to keep us warm.

Bethlehem and Calvary

Oh silent Bethlehem attend and see
How gently Mary tends her new-born King:
Mark with what reverence and ecstasy,
Her humble virgin heart with joy will sing.

See with what tenderness, she tucks within,
Those coverlets, His tiny Hands and Feet,
Oh, with what loving care she kisses Him,
And smoothes the pillow for His Head so sweet.
Oh silent Bethlehem, attend and see,
Mary's most precious task is now complete!
Oh silent Calvary, attend and see,

How sadly Mary watches Christ, her King,
Mark with what noble, patient sympathy,
Her anguished mother heart meets sorrow's ring.
Bravely she watches, her sweet face grows pale,

And suffers other hands to "tuck Him in,"
His Hands and Feet they "tuck" beneath the nails,
His kiss is gall; a token of man's sin.
Oh, silent Calvary, attend and see,
Man's most ignoble work is now complete!

**

For there is born to you this day in the city
of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.
And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe
wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the
heavenly host praising God and saying:
“ Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace,
goodwill toward men!” ~ Luke 2:11-14

Wouldn't life be worth the living,
Wouldn't dreams be coming true

If we kept the Christmas spirit

All the whole year through?

Christmas Eve

Christmas hath darkness
Brighter than the blazing noon,
Christmas hath a chillness
Warmer than the heat of June,
Christmas hath a beauty
Lovelier than the world can show:
For Christmas bringeth Jesus,
Brought for us so low.
Earth, strike up your music,
Birds that sing and bells that ring;
Heaven hath answering music
For all Angels soon to sing:
Earth, put on your whitest
Bridal robe of spotless snow:
For Christmas bringeth Jesus,
Brought for us so low.
Christina Rossetti

Christmas gift suggestions:
To your enemy, forgiveness.
To an opponent, tolerance.
To a friend, your heart.
To a customer, service.
To all, charity.
To every child, a good example.
To yourself, respect.
